So the Cats are Here, too

We live in a 39-foot 5th wheel. It’s a 2013 Montana/Keystone Mountainer. It has 1.5 bathrooms, a fireplace, a ceiling fan and a very brown interior. It’s the fanciest camper I’ve ever owned and that’s not just because it’s the only camper I’ve ever owned. Truly, it is a lovely, little house on wheels and we are grateful for it.

It holds us.

It also holds our two feline family members. Most of you don’t know them as Gingersnap and Nutmeg but by their more accurate and commonly used moniker—the Creatures of Darkness. My mother can’t remember that nickname so she often calls them the Demons of Mischief. Either name works and on any given day they live up to these descriptions and then some.

Whose idea was it to pack them along for the ride? Talk to our daughters.

I really don’t have much to say about them that is appropriate for a family-focused blog but wanted you to be aware they’re here and so far aren’t dead or abandoned.

Prayers appreciated.

  1. Oh my. I am so interested in how the cats are enjoying this travel. Please promise you will write at least one post from their perspective.
